Practise eco-friendly driving
Change up early, coast calmly and keep the right tyre pressure.
Under responsible road use, the CBR also tests whether you drive in an eco-friendly way.
The questions are about changing gear, looking ahead, tyre pressure and environmental zones.
Need to know
- Change up early, at around 2,000 to 2,500 revs.
- At a red light, release the accelerator early and coast in gear.
- Check your tyre pressure every month. Soft tyres cost fuel and wear faster.
- Do not let the engine warm up before you drive off.
- An empty roof box also costs extra fuel. Take it off when you are not using it.
