Lessons

What you learn

Short lessons in plain language. Free to read, even without an account.

  1. Where do you ride your scooter?Light mopeds and mopeds do not ride in the same place. Here you read where you ride, how fast you may go, how you overtake and get in lane and where you park your scooter.
  2. Priority and giving wayWho goes first? You learn the fixed order: first instructions and lights, then signs and give-way lines, and only then the rule of the right. You also read who you let go first when turning.
  3. Special roads and manoeuvresResidential zones, expressways, trams, buses, level crossings and roundabouts have their own rules. Turning around, reversing and pulling away also follow fixed rules.
  4. Safe driving and emergenciesLights, signals, your helmet, your passenger and what to do with a breakdown or accident. With these rules and tips you ride safer and know what to do when things go wrong.
  5. Traffic signs and instructions for mopeds and light mopedsWhich signs say where you must or may ride your moped or light moped, and how fast. Plus traffic lights, markings and instructions from traffic controllers.
  6. Safe and eco-friendly scooter ridingHow to recognise and limit risks such as blind spots, distraction, alcohol, tiredness and bad weather. And how to ride economically and cleanly.
  7. Law: licence, helmet, registration and insuranceWhat the law requires when you ride a moped, light moped or microcar. From age and licence to helmet, registration, insurance, passengers and tuning.
  8. Vehicle knowledge: lights, tyres, brakes and mirrorsThe technical requirements for your scooter and how to keep it safe. With the rules for lights, reflectors, tyres, brakes and mirrors.
